The Biblical World...
was founded as a non-profit teaching ministry by Tony Moore in 2003.
Its mission is to produce new and compelling programs that communicate the faith of Jesus to contemporary people who are not responding to traditional evangelistic methods and programs.
It is dedicated to uplifting Jesus as the Christ by bringing the pages of Scripture to life.
Tony Moore’s background
Since his Damascus Road conversion experience more than 30 years ago, Tony has been a deep and serious student of Scripture. He has served as a Bible instructor, church planter, pastor, metro area coordinator, senior pastor of a large multi-staff church, and most recently NAD Evangelism Ministries director for It Is Written television.
In 1985, a class on Biblical archaeology stirred his imagination. This soon developed into a passion as he researched the cultural and historical setting of the Biblical world.
The following year Tony made his first journey to the Bible lands of Israel, Jordan and Egypt. This seven-week trip opened windows into the intriguing world of the past, shedding light on the texture and color of the Biblical story.
As the years passed, Tony returned to this part of the world again and again, often traveling solo with a Bible, backpack and camera. As he explored places mentioned in Scripture, his mind began to construct a visual image of the Biblical world, leading to his unique teaching style.
